Woolley Firs Environmental Education Centre
Woolley Firs Environmental Education Centre
Welcome to our newly renovated education centre in a historic stable block, with purpose-built dipping pond, tree trail, arable fields and recently-planted orchard. Children can explore our 300 year-old farm and our varied woodland. The woodland is managed to encourage species such as stag beetle and brown long-eared bat and we work with our farmer to provide havens for wildlife on the agricultural land.
Open year-round for pre-booked Primary school groups. Our schools' programme includes sessions for Early Years, KS1 and KS2 pupils. Choose from day-long sessions including: Teddy Bears' Picnic; Sensational Senses; Habitat Safari; Minibeast Pick 'n' Mix; Fancy Plants and Tremendous Trees; Crops, Seeds, Birds and Bees.
