Rapid Horizons

A family friendly place offering river Rafting and Tubing for kids aged 14 and above, plus , kayaking (including tandem), for kids aged 6 and older, along the river Derwent. Tours led by qualified staff.

Tubing involves a float down the bottom section of the rafting run, in custom ‘built for the River’ tubes, along the twists and turns of the river, with an exciting finish through the rapids! The kayak based River Guide will give you all the information you need for a safe journey.

Rafting is a great way to explore the river as you meander through rolling hills, enjoying the countryside…before you reach the rapids! Check out the famous High Tor Cliff as you paddle through the Wind Tunnel and see how many climbers you can count.

You can also travel the same stretch of river by tandem kayak, which is great fun.
