Norfolk Tank Museum

Norfolk Tank Museum

Norfolk Tank Museum offers visitors an excitingly, hands-on experience of tanks, military vehicles and equipment. Visitors can climb aboard and even experience the confined inner workings of a tank operating some of the controls. And on the museum’s off-road track, there’s the opportunity of going for a ride in a tracked or wheeled military vehicle.

Volunteers are on-hand to tell you stories about the tanks and their meticulous restoration. The vehicle collection includes Centurion and Chieftain tanks, surface to air missile systems, scout cars and amphibious trucks. Inside the large hanger there are also displays of smaller items such as guns and kit and also real uniforms to try on.

During the summer months the museum puts on lunchtime barbecues. The museum is available for hire, with bouncy castle, for birthday parties.
