Culzean Castle & Country Park

With its dramatic clifftop setting, Robert Adam architecture, fascinating history and beautiful surroundings, it's easy to see why Culzean Castle is one of Scotland?s most popular visitor attractions.

A variety of castle tours provide pupils with an opportunity to discover more about the Georgian or Victorian period, relating to 'People, Past Events & Societies' and 'People, Place and Environment' from the Curriculum.

It's not always quiet in the castle, from songs and rhymes to traditional toys and dressing up there are lots of opportunities for pupils to explore the past. Older pupils can explore key aspects of history relating to the fashion, style and architecture of the Georgian period and the Scottish Enlightenment.
